Terms
Last updated 16 October 2026
These terms are between Venuelift (“Venuelift”, “we”, “us”) and the people who use it. The first part is for guests who book a table. The second part is for venues that use Venuelift to take bookings. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information. Venuelift is offered to venues in Australia for now.
Booking a table
- Your booking is with the venue, not with Venuelift. We provide the booking page and emails for the venue. The venue’s own policies (for example, on arriving late or large groups) apply to your booking.
- Please give your real name and contact details, and only book tables you intend to use. Venues can cancel bookings that look fake.
- If the venue allows online changes, you can change or cancel from the link in your booking email, up to the cut-off time the venue has chosen. Otherwise, or after that, contact the venue directly. Changes depend on space being available.
- If you can’t make it, please cancel so someone else can have the table. Venues can record a no-show.
- The venue can change or cancel a booking if it has to (for example, if it needs to close).
Using Venuelift as a venue
Early access
Venuelift is in early access. It’s free to use until we tell you about pricing, and we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before you’d have to pay for anything. Features may change as we improve it. Please tell us when something doesn’t work.
Your account
- Keep your login details private. You’re responsible for what happens under your logins.
- Tell us who should have a login (only people who work at your venue), and tell us straight away when someone leaves so we can remove their access.
- Keep your venue’s details, opening hours and seats up to date, so guests can rely on them.
Your guests and their information
- Bookings made through Venuelift are between you and your guests. You’re responsible for honouring them and for your own booking policies.
- We hold your guests’ information for you and handle it as our privacy policy says. We don’t sell it, and we never use one venue’s guests to market another venue.
- You must follow Australian privacy and spam laws when you use your guests’ details. Only send news and offers to guests who said yes, include a way to unsubscribe, and stop when they ask.
- You can ask us to delete a guest’s details, or all of your venue’s data, at any time.
Fair use
Don’t use Venuelift to send spam, make fake bookings, break the law, or try to get into another venue’s data or interfere with the service. We can suspend an account that does, and we’ll tell you why unless the law stops us.
Availability
We work hard to keep Venuelift running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will never have an outage or an error. During early access, keep a simple way to check your bookings (for example, the dashboard on more than one device) in case something goes wrong.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded. Apart from those rights, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses (such as lost profits), and our total responsibility to you is limited to resupplying the service or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem (which is nothing during free early access).
Ending
You can stop using Venuelift at any time. Tell us if you’d like your venue’s data deleted. We can end the service with 30 days’ notice, or straight away if an account breaks these terms. Either way, we’ll help you get a copy of your bookings first.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and email venues at least 14 days before a change that affects them takes effect.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
